They took their experience playing in bands throughout Santa Cruz and channeled it into a new project. In the process they learned the joys of creating original music and further advanced their love of music.

For a long time, my music was something I kept just for myself. It was a personal practice that helped me process my feelings and experiences while navigating the world. Now, I find myself with a collection of songs that I want to share with as many ears that want to listen!

Alison Steele's songwriting, clawhammer banjo and Blue Ridge-raised vocals bring a distinct mountain beauty to her music. Born in Virginia into a musical family with church life and singing at the core of her childhood she explains, "Music is just a part of everyday living.” When she's not singing and flatfoot dancing with Coyote Moon and long time gal pals Sugar by the Pound, she's gardening and writing about mountain living from her Northern California home.
